Penghargaan PRIA 2023

The Coprorate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for clean water assistance through the construction of drilled wells, reservoirs and toilet facilities in Sumber Waru village, Pamekasan, Madura has succeeded in bringing PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) to win the Gold Winner award for the Program category. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in the CBD (Community Based Development) sub-category, at the 2023 Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA) event, which was held at the Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center on Friday, (17/3).

This clean water facility assistance program does not only focus on increasing ease of access to clean water, but has broader long-term goals including increasing the public health index and accelerating the reduction of malnutrition rates caused by water quality in the environment.

TPS Main Director, Wahyu Widodo revealed that TPS is ready to take part in supporting sustainable development initiatives that refer to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework. In this case TPS runs various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, one of which is related to the SDGs point six, namely equal access to clean water and sanitation.

"We continue to measure and evaluate success to ensure the social functions carried out are in line with expectations, as well as TPS's efforts to introduce the company to the public, so as to increase the company's brand awareness." Said Wahyu.

The determination of winners for this category goes through several selection processes starting from the material selection round, to presentations and judging by public relations practitioners who assess how the program is run, how the communication strategy is, as well as measure the success and impact of the program.

In addition to the Gold Winner in the CSR category, TPS also received a Silver Winner award for the Annual Report program and a Bronze Winner for the owned media category with the Video Profile sub category.

"We are very proud that this year TPS managed to win 3 (three) PRIA Awards at the same time. We hope that next year we can buy more, of course as our motivation to continue to improve our performance," added Wahyu.

Wahyu said that the role of public relations and the CSR program must go hand in hand because they have interrelated functions where the role of PR is to build the company's image through building good relations between management and externals while the implementation of the CSR program is a form of public trust in the company through the implementation of the CSR program.

Furthermore, Wahyu revealed that TPS continues to work consistently and synergize with stakeholders. This can be seen in the Company Profile Video which displays the vision and mission, character, culture and atmosphere within the company besides displaying TPS's business processes.

The same goes for making an annual report. TPS upholds accountability and transparency. In its annual report, TPS contains information on the challenges and achievements of TPS during the year. The clarity of the report's narrative messages, the messages conveyed to shareholders, the accessibility of information, financial reports, as well as the creativity in the preparation and design of the annual report are TPS' efforts in preparing the annual report.

This is not the first time TPS has participated in an event organized by PRIA, for 2 years in a row starting in 2020 TPS has always participated in this competition and has managed to record achievements. In 2021, TPS won the Bronze Winner for the BUMN Subsidiary category.
